Adopt a Senior Bun!
November is Adopt a Senior Pet month. Older animals make great pets and deserve to be adopted, too. MCRS currently has two bonded pairs of rabbits where one of the pair is senior in age (8 years of age or older). Since rabbits can live to be more than 12 years old, these rabbits may well have many years left to live. Volunteers especially needed in Mankato & Eden Prairie
MCRS is currently looking for volunteers to exercise and socialize adoptable rabbits at the Eden Prairie and Mankato Petco stores. Each volunteer spends an hour or two weekly letting the rabbits out to romp and play, an important part of their daily activity. Rabbits need exercise and time out of their cage every day in order to play, burn off excess energy, and provide variety. Rabbits who do not get exercise daily can get bored and start acting out.
